38 tonne sculpture.

A huge 38 tonnes work by American sculptor Richard Serra, that was bought by the Queen Sofia museum in 1987 for 36 million Pesetas, has been missing since 1990. The work is called "Equal Parallel/ Guernica-Bengasidel" and consists of a steel piece formed by two blocks. It was initially displayed in the then Queen Sofia Arts Centre, when a third party warehouse operator from Arganda del Rey was contracted for storage. Nevertheless, police have been called in to investigate after museum director who was told by the company that the sculpture has gone missing.
