Australian athletes win in Madrid.
Two Australian sportsmen, middle distance runner Sarah Jamieson and pole-vaulter Kym Howe, have continued their best form in the European summer season. They win at the grand prix athletics, took place in Madrid. The Melbourne Commonwealth Games silver medallist Sarah Jamieson claim victory in the women 1,500m with a result of 4 minutes 05.23 seconds. The Ukraine sportsman Iryna Lishchynska, who is currently at the third place in the world rankings, was second with a result - 4:05.98. Jamieson, who is 31-year-old, is enjoying the best year of her career. Howe beats Tatiana Grigorieva on a count back and wins the women pole vault. It happened after both had cleared 4.51m.
